Here's another from my personal collection. Isn't it sweet? I love that it is just a simple birthday wish, to Earnest Baumann of Fairview, Mass. It was posted in 1915, by Elsie and the rest. The picture I took of it doesn't do justice to how pretty the carnations are on the card, or that the corner flowers are actually embossed too, the postcard actually has a lot of texture.
Anyhow, enjoy and happy FPP!!
Cheers,
Viviana
I do wish they made similar cards these days. You rarely see such pretty ones.

Lovely card, even though I'm not fond of carnations.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is I'm not fond of them either, I do LOVE roses so much...however I've got a great collection of non rose cards that I have to share because they are really gorgeous. This one was particularly pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think of myself as not being fond of carnations either, but they've had all their natural life and beauty bred out of them - this card reminds me that they are actually quite pretty and can smell heavenly!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your lovely carnations. I to love the floral cards... beck then they were so elegant. Thanks for stopping by my blog/ PFF
